My name is Heather Hawkins, and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher.
This is my 4th year in DISD, and my second year at Conner. This is my 6th year teaching overall. I have taught 2nd grade reading for the majority of my career, so I am looking forward to growing with your students in 3rd grade!
I grew up in Florida and have taught all over the place (6 states in all), but Dallas is definitely my favorite! When I’m not at school (or obsessing about school stuff) I love to read, cook, hang out with friends, train dogs, and ride horses and volunteer at Equest (an equine therapy center for people with disabilities).
My passion in life is teaching and watching my students grow! It is truly exhilarating seeing the progress and change in students and the way they think.
I'm looking so forward to working with you this year to ensure that your child will grow and have fun! Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time with questions, concerns, or just to touch base about your child's progress. We are a team working toward the success of your child!
